Emily Bonilla picks up endorsement from Eric Rollings in county race

On Friday, July 1st, Eric Rollings, the Chairman of the Orange County Soil and Water Conservation District, endorsed me. Both Eric and I are devoted to bringing awareness to the importance of protecting Florida’s natural resources. Eric has an extensive record of advocacy. In Tallahassee and Central Florida, he has led groups against fracking and secured Amendment 1 funds to purchase lands for conservation. Fracking is one of the top threats to our state because it can cause pollution and destroy our drinking water. This type of drilling in the ground puts harmful greenhouse gases in the air.

We need to fight together to keep the water of the East Orange County aquifers clean. Water impacts everything we do. Our bodies are 90%. Water is a delicate part of the balance of life as a whole.

I have been advocating for the protection of the Econlockhatchee River and keeping our aquifers in East Orange County clean. As Commissioner, I will continue to protect and advocate for the protection of Florida’s natural resources, environment and wildlife. This includes keeping the promise made by previous Commissioners to hold the rural boundary at the Econ River.
